Queen's Comprehensive Genetics Center serves the Western Pacific. With expertise in Prenatal and Adult genetics, Queen's professionals are able to provide a full range of genetic consulting and testing, including:

Laboratory tests include: DNA tests, molecular cytogenetic tests and cytogentic tests. Queen's Comprehensive Genetics Center utilizes the latest technology to take a closer look at specific gene changes. This analysis holds the key to the pathology and treatment of disease.
 

Adult

Adult onset disease can often be delayed or prevented. In many instances, knowing your genes can save your life. Genetics now plays a crucial role in many common conditions. Our services will continue to expand as we learn more about the role of genetics in the disease process. Current indications include:  
  • Personal or family history of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE)   
  • Early onset (<50) personal or family history of cancer   
  • Early onset (<50) personal or family history of cardiac disease or stroke   
  • Personal or family history of neurological disorder   
  • Personal or family history of hemochromatosis (iron overload).
  • Symptoms can include diabetes, hepatic carcinoma, cirrhosis, joint pain, and chronic fatigue
  • Personal or family history of chronic respiratory disease
